Equine colour genetics have always interested me, so during lockdown I’ve had a few ponies colour tested, Sebastian, Wakanda, and Watson all tested TT. Our latest pony to be tested was Snelsmore Ulysses. Pictured below, his colour pattern has always been fascinating, partially what I can only describe as a merle colour on his quarters. His results came back, he is positive for dominant Tobiano gene mutation, carrying two inherited copies of Tobiano (TT) and negative for the mushroom gene. Cant wait to use him at stud this year to see what his produces.
