Snelsmore Ultimate; like a good wine just gets better with age.
Snelsmore Ultimate is like a good red wine, fruity with a bit of a spice that just gets better with age. Ultimate is improving with every show, following in the footsteps of her parents Snelsmore Drambuie and Snelsmore Jasper…. Reserve Junior Champion at the wessex group show followed by another success at the South West group show, ending her season on a high note .
What an introduction to owning a shetland pony!!!
Ultimate’s grandam Stranduff Mischief was our first miniature shetland pony and she definitely lived up to her name. This little wild grey mare who certainly tested us from the start. Unknown to Mischief our racing background stood us in good stead, and we eventually came to a mutual agreement to meet in the middle. Sadly this amazing character that we learnt to love is no longer with us, but her legacy lives on in her offspring. The dam of twelve foals born at Snelsmore. We are lucky enough to still have three mares and three granddaughters. Ultimate’s dam being one of Mischief’s daughters, Snelsmore Drambuie was a very successful show pony winning numerous championships in shetland and mountain & moorland classes. We are hoping Ultimate will continue to follow in their footsteps and do us all proud.
