Area 20 & H.O.P.E show: Two shows miles apart makes for a busy weekend.
Two shows miles apart makes for a busy weekend.
Saturday, an early start heading down the M25 for NPS Area 20 show, on the South of England showground, East Sussex. With only two classes, three & under and four & over Mrs Cowell very quickly chose Snelsmore Spectre as her Miniature Junior Champion, Miniature Champion, and Overall Shetland Champion. Then Cliff and Spectre went on to be Reserve Reserve Supreme in hand. Cliff beat me all day, but I did manage a Reserve Miniature Championship with Merrylees Nuggett. May be better luck for me tomorrow with another lot of ponies all washed tonight ready for a day two.
Sunday, completely the opposite direction this time M4 and down Birdlip hill for H.O.P.E show, on the Three counties showground, Malvern. Mrs Trindale was our jugde today. My luck did change Snelsmore Oasis and I went Miniature Shetland Champion, and Snelsmore Uno Reserve Junior Champion.
Snelsmore Lily and Daniel followed with an Open Coloured Shetland Championship and Bronze Champion in the P (UK) Mini Series ring.
Must have been mad showing two days in a row in this heat, looking on the bright side I will recover, and all the ponies over the weekend did us proud.
