Another long journey to Edenbridge & Oxted show on the 31st of August, luckily we didn’t get the bad weather that had been forecast. Edenbridge is a really busy agricultural show and a very different atmosphere from the Wessex group show last week for our novice filly Snelsmore Ragdoll. Just like her mum Benston Gloria Ragdoll took it all in her stride and got a second place in the Novice class under our judge Mr D Hodge. So pleased with this little filly definitely one to watch out for in the future. Snelsmore Ruby Tuesday has suddenly had a growing spurt and we didn’t think she looks at her best, so we were delighted when she still won the Yearling class. I think its time for a rest for both these little fillies Ragdoll and Ruby now.
Snelsmore Nutmeg always does her best for me and was second in a strong mare class. Earlier in the day I may have hinted that I should lead Snelsmore Jasper, because perhaps I might run a little faster than Cliff. With this in his mind I think Cliff went out to prove me wrong. Cliff and Jasper flew around the large ring in long heavy grass to win the stallion class and went on to be Miniature Champion.
Great day for the boys but maybe their was a method to my madness.
