Foal Update: Better luck for Libby

It only seems like yesterday, but it was two years ago that Snelsmore Libby aborted her first foal. Libby had waxed up and things seemed to be normal, it was soon very obvious she had a problem and her filly foal was far to young to survive the birth, so we gave her a year off to recover from her bad experience. libby was in foal again this year so I was keeping my fingers crossed for her. Unfortunately it was not all plain sailing for poor Libby, yet again another difficult foaling her timing was better but unfortunately it was a bad presentation. I was determine to help Libby to become a mum so with a lot of pushing and pulling from me, it was a much happier outcome, luckily her piebald colt survived the struggle with some anxious moments Snelsmore Spectre a strong piebald colt was born and just as I thought Libby was a great mum. Snelsmove Nova got off to a better start with an easy first foaling with her tiny Piebald colt called Snelsmore Sidney just like his sire Snelsmore Mandrake. Born only a few days apart the boys can often be seeing playing together while their proud mums watch on.
