Foal update: Tallulah comes awake

We made the long journey to Builth Wells for the Shetland Pony Stud Book Society Breed Show. We had a really lovely weekend meeting up with friends. All our ponies had a great show so proud of them all but it was Tallulah that particularly made me laugh, it seemed so long ago that Snelsmore Jasper’s won the foal class at the Bakewell breed show and this year it was the turn of his cheeky little daughter to follow his footsteps. Tallulah’s first time in the ring was a few weeks ago at the Downs group show where she was shy and unsure about her new experiences but somehow still manage a win. Amazingly a few weeks later she is full of confidence and quite a show off. She spent most of the time flat out asleep in the stables snoring, only really coming awake in the ring where she absolutely pulled my arms out, I couldn’t believe how strong a little foal could be. I persuaded Cliff to take the rein a bit later to give my arms a rest. Let’s hope this is the good start to a future show career like her parents Jasper and Mystique, only time will tell.
