NPS Area 20 Show and the National Shetland Show of Wales: Satisfying Weekend
Due to really bad traffic on the M25 which seemed busier than normal, we nearly missed our classes at the Area 20 NPS show on the South of England show ground. We arrived with only one class to spare, not even time for a cup of tea. Luckily our two boy’s Snelsmore Nevada and Snelsmore Pavarotti travelled really well, as we had to take them straight off the lorry with only a quick bush and run into the ring. Under the circumstances they both behaved extremely well and our judge Mrs J Webb eventually choose Snelsmore Pavarotti as her Reserve Overall Junior Champion and Snelsmore Nevada as the Best Miniature and Overall Shetland Champion. Worth all the rushing and missing my tea. Early start the next morning with a different lot of ponies, but this time in the opposite direction, down the M4 to the National Shetland show of Wales. Really enjoy this show it’s such a lovely atmosphere and just perfect for educating for our young ponies. Snelsmore Querl and Snelsmore Quiz Master both behaved really well and took second places in their classes. Snelsmore Nutmeg’s was having her first outing in the ring since a three year old so I was really chuffed to win the four to six year old Barren Mare class. Finally Snelsmore Rembrandt our yearling colt was a star he won both his classes in different rings. Junior Champion in the Miniature Coloured ring with Mrs M Matthews and Reserve Junior Champion in the Miniature ring with Mr J Walters. Really hectic but satisfying weekend.
