The NPS Summer Championships; First time for everyone.
The NPS Summer Championships at the three countries show ground Malvern, was a first for us and what a great day it was. Snelsmore Uno won his class, the Miniature Shetland and Overall Shetland Championships, which qualified him for the Mountain & Moorland Championships and Price Family Supreme In Hand in the evening. In the afternoon Uno won the Native pony Mountain & Moorland Championship. Cliff and Uno represented our Shetland breed in the evening with a great Pride, he didn’t get placed against some beautiful equines showing under the floodlights but had some lovely comments from the judges.
It was also a first outing for Snelsmore Warwick. He was rather thrown in at the deep end, but he held it together well to win his class and awarded the reserve overall Junior Championship. Warwick stood on the lorry all day and night like an old pro. We eventually arrived home at one-thirty in the morning but loved every minute of our day.
