Somerset Native pony show: A piece of cake for Cliff and Spectre.

Lorry fully loaded with trailer on tow, we headed down the M4 for the Somerset Native pony show at Leyland court, Bristol. On broad we had some novice ponies having some practice, all the ingredients for a very interesting day. Our judge Anna Stevens soon put them through thier paces, Snelsmore Scarlett was first up with a win followed by Snelsmore Uno with a second win for Cliff , it was soon my turn with the very excited Snelsmore Truffle we couldn’t quite match Cliff but behaved well enough to recieve a second placed. It seemed to be my day for blue rosettes as Snelsmore Oasis and I recieved another second in the mare class. Cliff and Spectre were the icing on the cake for us, wining the Junior Championship, overall Shetland Championship and another opportunity to represent the shetland breed in the In-hand Supreme against some lovely other equine champions. It wasn’t thier day but still proud of these two boys given it their best shot as always.

Just enough time for a rest and a ice cream before heading home.
