Stretcholt Spring Show: Spectre’s ready for action.

Fantastic day with our youngsters at Stretcholt Spring show. Couldn’t be more pleased, a lovely venue perfect for educating our babies.
Snelsmore Spectre our piebald yearling colt by Merrylees Talisman had a great learning experience for his first time competing at a show. Spectre made a James Bond style entrance with a flying leap out of lorry completely missing the ramp, and ending up spread eagled on the tarmac below. Putting his embarrassment behind him his confidence grew enough to impress our judge Mrs J Harvey to win in the Owner bred class. His best friend and travelling companion Snelsmore Sebastian exited the lorry a little more sedately, taken things more in his stride his extra experience showed with a good win in the Yearling class.
Snelsmore Ruby Tuesday our blue and white filly by Merrylees Satchmo has wintered well having her first outing this year. She hadn’t forgotten her experiences as a yearling and performed well to win the Two-year class and Reserve Junior Champion.
Our final pony of the day was Snelsmore Quiz Master who strutted his stuff to win the Three-year class and Junior Championship.

Good job done, with both ponies and handlers fed and watered before our long journey home given us plenty of time to talk about our plans. Although we had four wins theirs still plenty of work needed to make improvements, but a good start for these four ponies.
