Supernova World Championships; Sunday bested

Long day at Supernova World Championship show.

The alarm was set for three o’clock it seemed so dark, not so long ago it would have been light, but with a long journey ahead of us we set off on our way to Arena UK, Grantham. We arrived at our destination, the weather was cloudy and going under foot muddy, but in the colourful indoor arena our day got off to a good start. Three wins out of three classes, couldn’t ask for more. This was soon followed by winning the Junior Championship for Snelsmore Ulysses, Reserve Miniature for Snelsmore Lily, and Miniature Championship for Snelsmore Sienna. Daniel and I qualified for the evening performance and a chance to dress up. Later dressed in our Sunday best we entered the ring under the spotlight and ran in tune to the loud music. Sienna was chosen as the Supreme Shetland and Lily reserve. Thinking our day was over our thoughts turned to our journey home and food, little did we know there was more excitement to come, we had a chance to compete for Supreme of show!!! Lily and Daniel under four judges turned the tables to be Category A Supreme (miniature horses under 34”) what a day it turned out to be we eventually got home to bed at three o’clock in the morning tired but still running on a high. Hope to make this the first of many Supernova shows.
