By placing a deposit on or purchasing a pony from Snelsmore Stud, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a pony. The pony will not be considered sold or reserved until the deposit has been received. If the buyer withdraws from the sale for any reason, the deposit will not be refunded. In the unlikely event that Snelsmore Stud withdraws the pony from sale, the deposit will be returned in full.
Payment
The full purchase price must be paid before the pony leaves Snelsmore Stud, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Ownership of the pony does not transfer until full payment has been received.
Veterinary Costs and Vetting
Any veterinary examinations, vetting, or tests requested by the buyer are at the buyer’s expense. From the time a deposit is paid, all veterinary costs arising from illness, injury, or accident become the responsibility of the new owner, even while the pony remains in the care of Snelsmore Stud. Once the pony has left Snelsmore Stud, all ongoing veterinary costs and care pass fully to the new owner.
Health and Care
All ponies are cared for to a high standard while in the care of Snelsmore Stud. They are sold as seen, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to satisfy themselves as to the pony’s condition, suitability, and temperament before purchase.
Risk and Insurance
The pony remains at the buyer’s risk once a deposit has been paid. We strongly recommend that insurance cover is arranged from the time the deposit is placed.
Collection and Transport
Collection and transport of the pony is the responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Any livery or additional costs incurred due to delayed collection may be charged.
Health and Safety
All reasonable health and safety measures are taken while ponies are in our care. However, ponies are animals and can be unpredictable. Snelsmore Stud accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property while visiting the stud or handling ponies.
No Warranty
No warranty is given or implied as to the future performance, behaviour, or suitability of any pony once sold.
