The Downs group summer show: Practice makes perfect
We had a lovely day at the Downs Group Summer show, its always been a favourite show for introducing our youngsters to the show ring. It was a normal early start, long drive down the M25 and hard work; Our two yearling fillies Snelsmore Scarlet and Snelsmore Sienna both made their first appearances and won their novice and yearling classes. Many thanks to Daniel who turned up to support us and landed himself with a job leading Sienna to win the Junior Championship as well. After her long journey Snelsmore Tallulaha thought a sleep in the sunshine might be nice, she was not too impressed to be rudely awakened to compete in the foal class, but luckily she woke up enough to put her best foot forward to give us a third win. Her mum Snelsmore Mystique followed by winning the Brood Mare class and Reserve Miniature Champion. Lots of lesson learnt today, I think we need to go home and practice a little bit more.
