Wessex group show: Quiz Master answers all the questions
This winter has been really hard work so a good start to the show season was the result were hoping for. In the early hours of the 20th March with all the ponies scrubbed up we left for our long journey to the Wessex group show at Kingfisher Equestrian centre. Our day started well with our two-year skewbald filly Snelsmore Ribbon, having only her second outing in the ring fortunately she remembered everything form last year and performed well to win the Novice class, unfortunately her win didn’t get them into the Championship but delighted with how she looked and her general attitude, a beautiful moving filly with a great future ahead of her. Snelsmore Sebastian our piebald yearling colt followed his foal successes by strutting his stuff to win the yearling class. It was now the turn of Cliff, unfortunately he was finding it really painful to run in his showing shoes due to a toe injury, but Cliff’s usual determination saw him through the day to win the three-year old class, Junior Champion, Miniature Ring Champion, and Supreme. It was only Quiz Master’s sixth time in the ring so naturally really pleased with his progress and let’s hope Cliffs toe get better soon as I think we have a lot to look forward too with these three youngsters. Finally Snelsmore Oceana was are only older pony on broad, on this occasion she had a third place in the mare class but could really be disappointed both her and I did our best, fingers crossed for her next time.
